Wilhelm Foundation is working to increase research into the undiagnosed diseases not only , but also target the population around the world and then the indigenous people of each country.
We believe that the Undiagnosed Diseases Program (UDP) is the ultimate way to solve the undiagnosed diseases that no one else could solve. The Wilhelm Foundation is working to form a UDP, according to Dr. Gahl's model
.The doctors and researchers of the different UDPs belong to the international network Undiagnosed Diseases Network International (UDNI). In UDNI, the specialists new genetic abnormalities, new diseases, etc. share with each other. Many also initiate collaborations with specialists from other UDPs in other countries to solve an undiagnosed disease.
The specialists are also invited to the World Conferences on Rare and Undiagnosed Diseases, which is a collaboration between the Wilhelm Foundation, Dr. Gahl (NIH) in the United States and the host country for Congress.
